The Tar Pit is a natural accumulation of sweat, blood, bones and the sands of time that formed over the site of an often-used field of honor that is Kenan Stadium. For over 100 years, the men of North Carolina have protected this land from all interlopers, never giving an inch. They have done this with such a will and pride that all would know their foundations are so solid their heels would seem to be supported by the very Tar from deep beneath the earth's surface.
