Levi Meets The Tar Heels
The Tar Heels greet a brave young man.
April 7, 2006
By: Joe Bray
The Tar Heels had a special visitor after Friday's practice. Seven-year-old Levi Horton from Virginia stopped by to meet the team.
Levi recently lost his sight, but nothing is slowing him down. He wore the number of one of his favorite players, Julius Peppers.
A large group of players surrounded Levi for about 45 minutes. The Tar Heels were very gracious with their time.
Jesse Holley had fun visiting with Levi. He told him to wear number nine the next time he visits.
Levi and Barrington Edwards let us know who they think is number one.
Barrington and Jesse share a laugh with Levi. Levi had several relatives with him, and they all had a great time.
Every player signed a football for Levi.
Levi visits with Kennedy Tinsley (36). Levi has been a Carolina fan for as long as he can remember.
Levi left with several new pairs of gloves, plus other souvenirs.
Coach Bunting spent time with Levi after the players finished visiting with him.
Coach Bunting invites Levi to come be his guest at a game this fall.
Thanks, Levi, for visiting with us, it made our day. Enjoy the Spring Game on Saturday!
