Lett At Football Practice
March 17, 2008
Former Dallas Cowboy defensive tackle Leon Lett, nicknamed "The Big Cat," attended North Carolina's football practice on Monday. Lett was coached by both Butch Davis and John Blake while a member of the Cowboys. In fact, Lett was selected to his first Pro Bowl in 1994 while under Blake's tutelage. Standing 6-6 and looking like he could still play, Lett was easy to spot at Monday's practice, towering above the Tar Heels in a black sweatsuit. Lett played for the Cowboys from 1992-2000 and for the Denver Broncos in 2001. He was a three-time Super Bowl champion and was twice selected to the Pro Bowl. He played at Emporia State University in Kansas and was selected in the seventh round of the 1991 NFL Draft.
