Chapel Hill, N.C. ------ The Atlantic Coast Conference will release the 2003 football schedule today at 1:30 p.m. Be sure to check back to TarHeelBlue.com for your first look at Carolina's 2003 football opponents.

Carolina's 2003 non-conference schedule has already been set and includes home dates against Syracuse on Sept. 6 and Arizona State on Oct. 18. The Tar Heels will play at Wisconsin on Sept. 20 and at East Carolina on Oct. 11.

Carolina's 2002 schedule was ranked the fifth-toughest in the nation according to the Sagarin rankinngs and this year's schedule will feature nine teams that appeared in bowl games last season. Seven ACC teams appeared in bowl games and both Wisconsin and Arizona State played in a bowl.
