Football Season Ticket Renewals On Sale Jan. 3
Jan. 1, 2009
Chapel Hill, N.C. ------ Season ticket renewals for North Carolina's 2009 home football games are on sale now. Prices remained unchanged from 2008. Last season, Carolina sold out of season football tickets and expects to do so again in 2009. A special rate of $280 will be available during an exclusive two-month period from January 3 through February 28. This discounted rate is for Rams Club members and 2008 UNC football season ticket holders only. Season tickets ordered during this early period carry the same $40 per game price as the previous two seasons. Beginning March 1, season ticket renewals and new season tickets will be available for $315 each, the same price as 2008. The 2009 home schedule includes seven home games, including Duke, Miami, Virginia, Florida State, East Carolina, The Citadel and a yet to be named opponent, which Carolina will soon announce. The 2009 schedule will be released by the Atlantic Coast Conference office at the end of January. Tickets can be ordered by logging on to TarHeelBlue.com or by calling the UNC Ticket Office at 1-800-722-HEEL (4335). "As an incentive to Rams Club members and our previous season ticket holders we are again offering a price break for those who order their tickets early," says Associate Athletic Director for Tickets Clint Gwaltney. "We appreciate the support of our loyal fans and encourage all Carolina fans to join the Rams Club." Fans who are not currently Rams Club members may take advantage of the discounted fare by joining the Rams Club for as little as $100 per year. Go to www.ramsclub.com to join. A package of four season tickets purchased before March 1 provides a savings of $140 with a Rams Club membership.
Since the start of the 2007 season, Carolina has sold out 12 of its 13 home games. |
