2008 - Junior Season Led the Tar Heels to wins over Miami, No. 23 Connecticut, Notre Dame, No. 23 Boston College and No. 20 Georgia Tech • Named one of the Tar Heels' offensive players of the week in wins over the Hurricanes, Irish and Eagles • Completed 94 of 168 passes (56.0 percent) for 1,261 yards and nine touchdowns in eight games • All totals are career highs • Went 4-for-6 for 31 yards and two interceptions in the fourth quarter against NC State • Was 10-for-24 with a TD and an interception at Maryland • Hooked up with Cooter Arnold for a 59-yard score against the Terps • Went 7-for-16 for 100 yards and two touchdowns against No. 20 Georgia Tech • TD passes went to Zack Pianalto (8 yards) and Hakeem Nicks (31 yards) • Threw for a career-best three TDs (all to Hakeem Nicks) and 238 yards on 19-for-30 passing in the win over No. 23 Boston College • Went 16-for-25 for 166 yards with two interceptions at Virginia • Established career highs with 18 completions on 32 attempts in the win over Notre Dame • Passed for 201 yards and added his second career rushing TD - a 4-yarder - versus the Irish • Made first start since 2006 in the win over No. 23 Connecticut and was 9-for-16 for 117 yards and a score, a 13-yard pass to Hakeem Nicks • Saw first action of the season at Miami and led the Tar Heels to a 28-24 come-from-behind win and earned ACC Offensive Back of the Week honors Sept. 29 • After entering for the third series of the game, completed 11 of 19 passes for 242 yards and two touchdowns, which matched a career high set in 2006 vs. Furman • Both TDs came in the fourth quarter, including a 14-yarder to Brooks Foster to give UNC its first lead of the game • First TD was a 74-yard strike to Hakeem Nicks to bring the Tar Heels within three points in the fourth quarter.

2007 - Sophomore Season
Played in the fourth quarter of Carolina's 37-14 victory over James Madison • Completed his only attempt, a 9-yard pass to Kenton Thornton.

2006 - Freshman Season 
Played in seven games and started five • Completed 57 of 136 attempts for 840 yards with four touchdowns and eight interceptions • Also rushed 27 times for 25 yards and one touchdown • Did not play against Duke, NC State or Georgia Tech • Did not start against Wake Forest, but rotated with starter Joe Dailey and completed 6 of 10 passes for 80 yards, including a long of 29 • Started against Virginia and played in just the first half, completing 3 of 8 for 22 yards • Started against USF and completed 9 of 26 attempts for 117 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions • Tossed a 7-yard touchdown pass to tight end Jon Hamlett against South Florida • Also had a career-best 33-yard run that set up the TD pass • Started against Miami and was 9 of 28 for 136 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions • Completed a long pass of 37 yards to Hakeem Nicks at the Miami 2-yard line, which led to Carolina's only score of the game • Started against Clemson and connected on 7 of 22 attempts for 96 yards, no touchdowns and one interception • Scored the Tar Heels' only touchdown on a 4-yard run in the fourth quarter • Made his first career start and completed 14 of 20 attempts for 265 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Carolina's 45-42 victory over Furman • Is the first Tar Heel freshman to start at quarterback since Darian Durant in 2001 • Opened the scoring with a 58-yard screen pass to Ronnie McGill for a 7-0 lead, then with Carolina trailing in the fourth quarter, hit Jesse Holley for a 50-yard touchdown pass to take back the lead • Averaged 18.9 yards per completion and was never sacked • Had eight completions of at least 13 yards (58, 20, 16, 13, 40, 26, 13 and 50 yards) against Furman • Made his first career appearance against Virginia Tech in the second game of the season • Was 9 of 21 for 124 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions against the Hokies • Threw his first career touchdown pass, an 18-yarder to Brooks Foster, in the fourth quarter. 2005: Redshirted after breaking his ankle in spring practice • Enrolled in January 2005 and participated in Continental Tire bowl practices with the Tar Heels.
