2005 - Junior Season
Started the first eight games of the season at defensive end • Suffered a concussion against Boston College and missed the next three games against Maryland, Duke and Virginia Tech • Finished the season with 15 tackles, three tackles for losses, two sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery • Had three solo tackles in the win over Boston College • Had two tackles against Miami • Had two tackles in the win over Virginia • Posted a 10-yard tackle for loss at Louisville • Had one tackle in the win over Utah • Made two tackles, had a tackle for loss and forced a fumble in the victory over NC State • Registered two tackles and recovered a fumble against Wisconsin • Had one tackle, a 2-yard tackle for loss at Georgia Tech.

2004 - Sophomore Season
Played much better in the second half of the season and became the full-time starting defensive end in the Miami game • Played in every game and had six starts • Had 23 tackles, including five tackles for losses of 11 yards and three sacks for eight yards • Tied for second on the team with three sacks • Also broke up three passes and forced a fumble • Had one tackle in the win over Wake Forest • Made four tackles, including a 2-yard sack against No. 18 Virginia Tech • Had two assisted tackles and a half tackle for loss against No. 4 Miami • Had three tackles, including a 2-yard sack, against Utah •Posted four tackles in the win over NC State, including a four-yard sack on quarterback Jay Davis •Made two tackles against FSU • Had three tackles against Louisville •Did not play against Georgia Tech because of sprained right ankle •Did not start at Virginia, but registered one tackle for loss • Made his first career start against William & Mary.

2003 - Freshman Season
Played in one game against Maryland and also participated in the junior varsity game against Hargrave Military Academy • Saw action on 13 snaps against the Terps and posted three assisted tackles • Redshirted in 2002.

Lawton Chiles High School
Three-year starter on both the offensive and defensive lines • Had 105 tackles, eight tackles for loss, six sacks, eight pass deflections and four forced fumbles as a senior • All-Big Bend first-team selection at defensive end • Selected to play in the Georgia-Florida All-Star Game • Defensive captain of the Florida team • Coached by Mike Hickman.
