2006 - Junior Season
Started the first seven games and played in all 12 • Assisted on a tackle against Duke • Had one tackle and picked off a pass in the win over NC State • The interception came on a tipped pass late in the fourth quarter • Assisted on one tackle against Notre Dame • Recorded five tackles at Virginia, including three solo stops • Had two tackles and recovered a fumble against USF • Posted three solo tackles at Miami • Made two tackles at Clemson • Posted two tackles against Furman • Made two tackles against Virginia Tech • Started against Rutgers and had three primary tackles.

2005 - Sophomore Season
Played in 11 games and started four • Started at Virginia Tech and had eight tackles • Started against Duke and had one tackle and one pass breakup • Did not start against Boston College or Maryland • Started against Miami after the season-ending injury to Jacoby Watkins • Had his first career interception and returned it 14 yards against Miami • Made three tackles and assisted on a tackle for loss in the win over Virginia • Registered three tackles in the loss to Louisville • Posted a career-high 10 tackles and broke up two passes against Utah • Moved into the cornerback position against the Utes after Jacoby Watkins missed most of the game with a sickness • Had his best game of the season with five tackles on special teams and in the nickel back position • Picked up a blocked punt and returned it 11 yards for a touchdown in the win over NC State • Posted two tackles against Wisconsin • Had four tackles and a pass breakup against Georgia Tech.

2004 - Freshman Season
Played in 10 games • Saw his playing time increase significantly throughout the season and was a standout on special teams • Had four punt returns for 27 yards • Earned UNC's special teams player of week awards for his play against NC State, Wake Forest and Duke • Finished the season with 11 tackles, including eight primary stops and three assists • Registered a season-high three tackles in the win over Duke • Had two tackles against Florida State, NC State and Utah • Also had stops against Miami and Virginia Tech • Longest punt return was a 21-yarder against the Demon Deacons • Had a 10-yard punt return against Boston College in the Continental Tire Bowl • Redshirted in 2003.

Named one of the top 25 players in North Carolina by The Charlotte Observer and The Fayetteville Observer • PrepStar All-Region selection • Played his first three seasons at running back, but moved to quarterback as a senior • Rushed for over 1,000 yards as a junior and a senior • Had 1,083 yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior, leading North Pitt to the 2-A state finals • Rushed for 1,500 yards and averaged 8.5 yards per carry as a junior • Was named the conference player of the year as a junior • Tallied 83 tackles and broke up 22 passes at cornerback as a junior • Also played basketball and ran 100 and 200 meters in track • Earned MVP honors in the basketball 2-A state championship game as a junior • Coached by Ken Whitehurst.
