2004 - Freshman Season
Enrolled in January, 2004, and participated in spring practice Started two games on the defensive line Had 15 tackles, including nine primary stops and six assists Also had 4.5 tackles for losses, 1.5 sacks, one pass breakup, one forced fumble and one quarterback hurry Had one tackle against Boston College in the Continental Tire Bowl Made two tackles and had 1.5 sacks in the win at Duke Assisted on a tackle against Miami Posted three tackles at Utah and had a 1-yard tackle for loss Made perhaps the most important tackle of the season when he stopped NC State's T.A. McLendon at the goal line and jarred the ball loose with just six seconds remaining in the game Carolina recovered the fumble and secured a 30-24 victory over the Wolfpack It was his only tackle of the game Had one assisted tackle against FSU Did not start against Louisville, but had one tackle and broke up one pass Started against Georgia Tech Made his first career start at Virginia and responded with three tackles, including a team-best two tackles for losses of 19 yards Had two tackles and one pressure against William & Mary.
