Started all 11 games and finished the season with 21 receptions for 212 yards and one touchdown • Averaged 10.1 yards per catch • Caught one pass for 23 yards at Virginia Tech • Had two catches for 17 yards against Duke, including an 8-yard gain that set up Carolina's winning touchdown • Caught three passes for 19 yards against Maryland • Had two receptions for four yards in the win over Virginia • Had four catches for 43 yards against Louisville • Tied for team-high honors with four receptions for 61 yards in Carolina's 31-17 victory over Utah • Had several big receptions, including a 16-yard catch on third down during a scoring drive against the Utes • Caught a 10-yard touchdown pass in the win over NC State • It was his third straight season with one touchdown catch • Started and made a 10-yard catch against Wisconsin • Started against Georgia Tech and had three receptions for 25 yards, including a long of 11.

2003 - Freshman season
Played in 11 games and started two games against Maryland and Wake Forest • One of 12 true freshmen to see playing time • Had 11 catches for 115 yards and one touchdown, with a long play of 36 yards • One of 10 Tar Heels to have double figures in receptions • Caught two passes for 41 yards, including a 33-yard touchdown in the win at East Carolina • Made the catch in the fourth quarter to give Carolina a 21-10 lead • Made three receptions for 46 yards, including a long of 36 at Maryland • Also made catches against Syracuse, NC State, Virginia, Clemson and Wake Forest.
