Ranked the No. 21 prospect in Virginia by SuperPrep • Considered the No. 23 prospect in Virginia by The Roanoke Times • Slowed in his senior season by a foot injury • Played in just four games as a senior and led Deep Creek to a 3-1 record in those four games • Without him, Deep Creek was 4-3 • Averaged 133 yards per game in the four games he played as a senior • Rushed for more than 1,000 yards as a junior, averaging 110 yards per game and scored 20 touchdowns • Averaged a touchdown every six plays • Earned first-team All-Tidewater and first-team All-Eastern Region honors as a junior and was the district player of the year • Coached by David Cox • Also a member of the track team • Ran the lead leg on the 4x100 meter relay team that finished first at the Penn Relays in a time of 41.19 • Also ran 100 and 200 meters.
