Played in seven games at offensive tackle and tight end • Was forced to move
to tight end late in the season against Wake Forest after numerous injuries
to UNC's tight ends • Responded with a touchdown catch in the loss to the
Deacons • Had been primarily used a backup tackle until making the switch to
tight end • Redshirted in 2005.
North Springs High School
Offensive lineman who started at North Springs High School but transferred
to Beach High School in Savannah during his senior season • Played just
three years of football • Two-year starter at right tackle • Recorded 15
pancakes, gave up only two sacks • Ranked among the top 100 players in
Georgia by Rivals.com • Coached by Gary McCoy at North Springs • Played on
the basketball team.
