GREENSBORO, N.C. - Miami's Jack McClinton was named as the ACC Player of the Week, while North Carolina's Wayne Ellington was tabbed ACC Rookie of the Week.

Ellington averaged 18.0 points as the Tar Heels posted wins over Ohio State and Kentucky. The Wynnewood, Pa., freshman scored 19 points in Wednesday's 98-89 win over the No. 1 Buckeyes and a team-high 17 points in Saturday's 75-63 victory over the Wildcats. Ellington made three three-pointers in each game and scored 17 of his 19 points against the Buckeyes in the second half.

McClinton averaged 26.0 points, 2.0 assists and 1.5 rebounds in two games last week, including a 90-82 ACC win over No. 21 Georgia Tech. The Baltimore, Md., sophomore made 9-of-16 (.563) from the floor and 17-of-18 (.944) from the line. McClinton matched a career-high with 30 points in Tuesday's 61-59 loss to Northwestern before tallying 22 points in Sunday's win over the Yellow Jackets. McClinton has scored 20 or more points in five straight games and leads the ACC in scoring (21.0).
