Season Tickets

  • Current and Retired Faculty and Staff of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill have the opportunity to purchase full-season and mini-season ticket packages. Seat assignments are completed based on a point system, established by the Faculty Council and the Employee Forum, which stipulates that each Faculty and Staff member be credited with six (6) points for every year in which they have ordered season tickets and one (1) point for each year of service to the university. Retired Faculty and Staff points are frozen at the time of retirement.
  • Rams Club donors who have attained certain giving levels may also have the opportunity to purchase season tickets. For more information, please see: www.ramsclub.com.
  • Season tickets are not available to the general public.
  • Season ticket applications are generally sent to eligible parties in early September.

    Individual Games

  • If tickets are available for individual games, they generally go on sale in early November.
  • To purchase individual game tickets, please call the UNC Ticket Office at 800-722-4335 or 962-2296 or click here.

    Away Games

  • Away game tickets are generally not available to the general public.

    Children Tickets

  • All children age 2 and under are admitted free of charge. All persons over two years of age must have a ticket to be admitted to the Dean E. Smith Center for men's basketball games.

    Mini-Season Packages

  • The mini-season package is generally available in limited numbers to the public beginning in mid-September. Seating for this package is usually in the top five (5) rows of the upper level.

    Student Tickets

  • The Carolina Athletic Association (CAA), a student organization, is charged with coordinating the student ticket distribution process for men's basketball. For more detailed information about the CAA and the ticket distribution process, please see www.unc.edu/caa.

    Post-Season

  • ACC Tournament tickets are not available to the general public.
  • A limited number of ACC Tournament tickets are available to students at UNC. Due to the high demand for ACC Tournament tickets, the CAA coordinates a lottery system to determine student eligibility. At the completion of the lottery drawing, those students chosen will have the opportunity to purchase tournament vouchers the Monday following the lottery drawing. Students selected as alternates in the student drawing may purchase tournament vouchers the Tuesday following the lottery drawing. Any remaining student tickets may be purchased by any UNC student the Wednesday following the lottery drawing on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Rams Club donors at a certain giving level have the opportunity to purchase ACC tournament tickets. Eligible donors will be notified when these tickets are available.
  • UNC is allotted a very limited number of NCAA tournament tickets. Based on availability, these tickets are only available to students and Rams Club donors at a certain giving level. Again, eligible donors will be notified when these tickets are available.
