Tuesday Talking Points

March 21, 2006

By Adam Lucas

  • Sunday's game was the first time all season that Tyler Hansbrough (who averaged 8.2 free throws per game all season) did not attempt a free throw.

  • The four team free throws against George Mason were the fewest since Carolina attempted four against Clemson on March 2, 2004.

  • This year's team finished tenth in the final AP poll of the year. That's the highest finish for a Carolina team that began the season unranked in school history.

  • Carolina is 1-3 in their last three NCAA Tournament games as a 3 seed.
