Vote For Ellington's Pontiac Game Changing Performance

For the first time, Pontiac will recognize the greatest performances from the NCAA® Men's Basketball Regular Season with a $5,000 general scholarship contribution through Pontiac Game Changing Performance, the first and only fan-voted scholarship program.

Eight pivotal plays have been nominated by CBS from the 2007 - 2008 NCAA® Men's Basketball Regular Season and posted at pontiac.com/ncaa. Alumni, students and college basketball fans will vote to determine which of those eight most deserve the title of Pontiac Game Changing Performance of the Regular Season. Voting will run through March 15 at 6:00 p.m. on pontiac.com/ncaa.

The eight nominees include:

VOTE HERE: North Carolina 90, Clemson 88 (Jan. 6) - The Tar Heels hit the game-winning 3-pointer with 0.4 seconds left in overtime.

Memphis 79, UAB 78 (Feb. 16) - The Tigers drove to the basket and converted a 3-point play with 6.5 seconds left to give Memphis a win over the Blazers.

Quinnipiac 76, Central Connecticut State 73 (Feb. 28) - The Bobcats hit a game-winning half-court buzzer beater in OT to give Quinnipiac a win over the Blue Devils.

Pittsburgh 55, West Virginia 54 (Feb. 7) - The Panthers made a game-winning 3-pointer from the corner as time expired and sealed the win.

Wisconsin 67, Texas 66 (Dec. 29) - The Badgers scored the go-ahead 3-pointer with 2 seconds left to add another win to their record.

Indiana 83, Illinois 79 (Feb. 7) - The Hoosiers hit a game-tying 3-pointer with 25 seconds left in regulation and eventually won in double OT.

Oklahoma 92, Baylor 91 (Feb 19) - The Sooners converted a 4-point play with 7.3 seconds left in OT to give Oklahoma their win.

Stanford 67, Washington State 65 (Feb 2) - The Cardinals executed a spin layup move with 12 sec left in OT giving them a win over Washington State.

"College basketball fans are among the most passionate and intense of all sports enthusiasts and Pontiac continues to lead the way in bringing fans closer to their favorite NCAA® sports by giving them a major voice in determining which schools will earn a Game Changing Performance and a $5,000 general scholarship contribution."

While fans are at pontiac.com/ncaa, they can also register for a chance to win a 2008 Pontiac G8 and a trip for eight to San Antonio, TX for the 2008 NCAA® Men's Final Four.
