  • Carolina is 7-1 over its last eight ACC road games, the best mark in the conference. During that same timespan the only other teams above .500 on the road in the league are Boston College (6-2) and Duke (6-2).

  • The Tar Heels have won games in back-to-back seasons at Wake Forest only once in the past 15 years (victories in 1998 and 1999).

  • Saturday's game at Arizona will be the farthest west the Tar Heels have ever traveled this late in the regular season. After Jan. 1, Carolina has played just four regular season games west of the Mississippi River in the ACC era: 1/3/81 vs. Kansas in Kansas City, 2/12/84 vs. Arkansas in Pine Bluff, 1/2/88 at UCLA, and 1/3/89 at Pepperdine.

  • Roy Williams's five Final Four teams have collectively averaged 15.8 turnovers per game. This year's Tar Heels average 14.6 per game.
