  • Sunday's 105-66 win over William and Mary was the Tar Heels' 12th in a row, marking their longest winning streak since an 18-game run during the 2000-01 season. Carolina has not lost since dropping its season-opener to Santa Clara.

  • With 105 points Sunday, the Tar Heels eclipsed the 100-point mark in back-to-back games for the first time since the 1993-94 season. Exactly 11 years ago, Carolina defeated Marshall (116-62) on Jan. 2, 1994, for the second of back-to-back 100-point efforts. The Tar Heels had posted a 106-93 win over Pittsburgh (Dec. 20, 1993) in their previous outing.

  • With the 39-point victory, the Tar Heels have won six games by 30 or more points, their most since 1997-98. Carolina has now scored at least 85 points in each of the last seven games and has hit 90 or more nine of the last 11 outings.

  • Junior Sean May had a season-best 24 points on 9 of 13 shooting to lead the Tar Heel offense. May now has nine career 20-point games, with two coming this season. He added seven rebounds and tied a season-high with three blocked shots. May now has six blocks over the last two games.

  • Despite missing his first two three-point attempts to snap a streak of 12 consecutive makes from behind the arc, junior Raymond Felton was 2 of 6 on three pointers Sunday. He has made 14 of his last 18 attempts.

  • Felton also tied a season-best with 12 assists for his third double-digit assist game of the season and the 14th of his career. Felton added eight points and four rebounds.

  • Led by Felton, the Tar Heels had 27 assists on 35 made field goals.

  • With 14 first half points and 19 for the game, senior Jawad Williams has reached double figures in scoring in each game this season and 73 times as a Tar Heel. He was 6 of 10 from the field and has now shot better than 50 percent from the floor in 11 straight games.
     

     

  • Freshman Marvin Williams has his seventh double-digit scoring effort of the season with 14 points Sunday. Williams 2 of 2 from the field and 10 of 12 from the line, where he is now 47 of 56 (83.9 percent) on the year.

  • UNC has just one more non-conference game on its regular season schedule - a February 13 trip to Connecticut. Fifteen of the Tar Heels final 16 regular season games are ACC contests.

  • Junior Rashad McCants has hit a three-point field goal in each of the last 28 games. He had 15 points on 6 of 12 shooting.

  • Sophomore Reyshawn Terry had a productive five minutes on the floor, as he scored five points on 2 of 3 shooting and added one rebound and two blocked shots.
