Eric Hoots Position: Director of Player Relations and Video Coordinator Experience: 5th year

Eric Hoots is in his fifth season as video coordinator in the UNC Basketball office. His primary duties include taping Tar Heel games and practices, coordinating the exchange of scouting tape and supervising day-to-day video needs.

Hoots, a 2004 UNC graduate with a degree in African-American Studies and Interpersonal Communications, was a three-year Tar Heel letterman as a varsity manager from 2001-2004. He served as head manager as a senior and also was a junior varsity manager for one season.

A native of Newton, N.C., Hoots attended Bandys High School in Catawba, where he played two years of varsity basketball.

Hoots is curently working toward his Master's in Sports Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. He and his fiancee, Amy Howe, an employee of the Rams Club, will be married in May 2009.
