By Ben Baden CHAPEL HILL - The Tar Heels dominated Thursday night's game against Johnston Community College in their most lopsided victory of the year winning by 65 points, 127-62. "The next four games we have big competition," said head coach Jerod Haase. "The things we worked on today can be useful." The Tar Heels ran the court well, finishing with a lot of easy lay-ups, and shot 9-14 from the three-point line. The junior varsity team led 66-37 at half and outscored Johnston Community College 61-25 in the second half. Marcus Wilson had his first double-double of the year as he led the team in scoring with 16 points, shooting 8-10 from the field and grabbing 13 rebounds. "We wanted to come out and play hard to get ready for these next games," Wilson said. Starting guard James Gallagher sprained his ankle in practice Monday and is expected to be out for up to 3 weeks. Brad Jones filled in for him in the starting lineup finishing with 10 points and five rebounds. Terrence Petree, Britt Milner, Claude Shields, Ford Tanner, Thomas Thornton and Van Hatchell all finished in double figures in the junior varsity team's most dominant performance of the year. The junior varsity team is expected to have a much tougher game against Fork Union Military Academy Thursday at 4 p.m.
