  • CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The schedule for North Carolina baseball's annual intra-squad Fall World Series, which marks the culmination of fall practice, has been set, head coach Mike Fox announced Tuesday. The series will kick off Tuesday, Oct. 28, and all games will be played at Cary's USA Baseball National Training Complex. All games are open to the public with free admission.

The format for this year's series, which pits the blue team versus the white team, will be a pair of best-of-three game series with a winner-take-all game seven set for Wednesday, Nov. 5, if necessary.

The two three-game series will be played to their completion regardless if one team takes the first two contests. The other team will have a chance to win that series in game three if it wins by a greater run differential than was accumulated over the first two games.

Pitching match-ups are set for the first two games with Alex White and Matt Harvey going in game one, and Colin Bates and Adam Warren taking the mound in game two.
