Diamond Heels To Be Honored At Kenan Saturday

Sept. 30, 2008

Carolina Baseball, a program coming off its third straight trip to the College World Series, will be honored at halftime of Saturday's Carolina-Connecticut football game. Under the guidance of head coach Mike Fox, the Diamond Heels have made two appearances in the College World Series finals and this summer advanced to the event's final four before being eliminated by eventual national champion Fresno State.

Saturday's halftime ceremony will include the entire 2008 team and will include a retrospective video on the Kenan Stadium jumbotron. The Diamond Heels are currently in the middle of fall practice, with the annual Fall World Series scheduled for Nov. 3-5 in Cary.

Kickoff against Connecticut is scheduled for 7 p.m. The game is a sellout.
