 With two outs and none on in the first, Josh Horton (12) takes ball four on a 3-0 pitch.
Chad Flack (34) then singles to left to move Horton (12) over to second.

 Jay Cox (10) follows with a single up the middle to drive in Horton (12) for a 1-0 lead...

 ...as Flack (34) advances to third.
Tim Federowicz (19) follows with a single to center to drive in Flack (34) for a 2-0 lead.

 Reid Fronk (7) starts a 5-4-3 double play to end the second inning, the Heels' second double play in two innings.
