CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina senior right-hander Adam Warren has earned ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District III honors for the third consecutive season, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced Thursday. The New Bern, N.C., native was a first-team selection for the first time and now moves on the national ballot for Academic All-America honors.

Warren, who owns a 3.36 grade point average in business administration, is one of 10 finalists for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award, is a Dean's List student and a three-time member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll. He will graduate from the University this weekend.

The Tar Heels' Saturday starter, Warren is 5-2 with a 3.19 ERA and 62 strikeouts in 62 innings this season. He owns a 27-4 career record for a .871 winning percentage and ranks among the program's all-time top five in both wins and winning percentage.

Warren and the Tar Heels return to ACC action this weekend at NC State with a three-game series beginning Friday.
