2009 Media Coverage & Promotions Schedule Get Acrobat Reader

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Tar Heel Sports Network once again will be the voice of Carolina Baseball when it comes to action on the diamond in 2009.

The network will broadcast no fewer than 22 regular-season games and all of Carolina's ACC Championship contests and any NCAA Championship games in which Carolina is a participant. All games broadcast can be heard on AM-1360 WCHL and at TarHeelBlue.com. All postseason games will be carried live by WCHL. Raleigh's Sports Radio 850 The Buzz will carry all ACC weekend series covered by THSN, and WBAG in Burlington will also air select games.

For the fifth season, Jones Angell will serve as the play-by-play announcer, with Adam Lucas serving as color analyst.

Angell (UNC `01) is in his 10th season covering UNC baseball for the Tar Heel Sports Network. He is an assistant director of new media with Carolina athletics and also serves as the host of Tar Heel football and men's basketball broadcasts.

Lucas (Guilford College `98) is in his fifth season as color analyst and is the publisher of Tar Heel Monthly. He is the author of three books on Carolina men's basketball, "Led By Their Dreams," "Going Home Again" and "The Best Game Ever." Lucas is also a frequent contributor on TarHeelBlue.com and Tar Heel Sports Network football and men's basketball broadcasts.
