Chad Flack (34) rips a grounder to third that was booted...

...allowing Mangum (10) to score Carolina's first run.

Mike Daniel (38) flies out to center for the last out of the first. Daniel was 2-4 with one RBI.

Adam Kalkhof (31) covers first on Tim Pahuta's (25) grounder to first for the first out in the second. The Pirates got men on 2nd and 3rd with two outs, but could not score.
