On Jeff Corsaletti's fake bunt:

"I thought that it was a very big play. Jeff works very hard to make things happen when you can move the defense and create holes. We called an offensive timeout and he said that he wanted to do it. It's a really neat little phase of the game when a young man wants to do something and he is able to execute it"

On pitcher Tommy Boss' complete-game:

"Tommy just pitched his heart out. He is a great competitor and our team loves to see him on the mound. He is a pleasure to watch perform and just an outstanding human being."

"Andrew Miller is a great pitcher. He pitched his heart out. I try not to get caught up in the hype and try to pitch my game and it turned out well."

On how today's complete game compares to his complete game against UCLA in the 2004 Regionals:

"It's pretty close. I threw great last year and today I really had all four pitches working for me."

"We knew that we had to put runs up today. We were able to do that and things took care of themselves."

"Andrew Miller is very good and we knew that coming into the game. We heard that he has a tendency to walk people early and we tried to battle counts early, but when he didn't do that, we had to change our approach. I just looked fastball and I was able to be successful."

"First of all, my hat is off to the University of Florida, they are an excellent ball club. They did what was necessary tonight to win. There is a fine line between winning and losing. They made the plays. Unfortunately, with the exception of one big inning, I thought Andrew [Miller] was terrific, maybe one of his best outings of his career."

On if he expected Saturday's game to be a pitching duel:

"[Tommy Boss] carved us up, he just carved us up."

"We were hoping it was going to be a pitchers duel. With our guy out there certainly, but we were obviously up."

On the amount of pitchers he has available for Sunday:

"We're going to need them all, probably. We'll regroup, tough game tomorrow with Notre Dame. We'll throw Daniel Bard. Hopefully he'll have a good outing and we'll rebound. We have to try to survive here. Having our bullpen is hopefully going to help us because we may have to throw everybody to try to stay alive now."

On his performance Saturday:

"[Florida is] a really good team. They had one big inning and their inning was bigger than ours. I facilitated the inning, I hit a batter, walked a batter. I believe I hit two that inning. I gave [Florida] opportunities and they capitalized. Like I said, they perfectly executed the slash, put the ball in play and scored a lot of runs that inning."

On if Saturday's game was special because it was in his hometown:

"To be honest with you, I almost felt less nervous than I do in other games. Nerves are a part of the game. I felt comfortable out there the entire time. I don't think the fact that I was at home, or that the crowd got extremely loud, probably as loud as I've ever played, loudest crowd I've ever seen while I was pitching on the mound. That was amazing. I wasn't effected by being home or playing the Gators, that didn't change."

On his expectations of Florida's Matt LaPorta:

"I knew [Matt LaPorta] was a great player. I had him 0-2, I was trying to throw the same pitch I had already thrown him twice and got too far in with it, got too far inside. He's an outstanding hitter, you have to be so careful with him. Throw anything near the plate and he can put it out of the park."
