A.C. FLORA HIGH SCHOOL
Earned South Carolina 3A state player of the year honors as a left-hander pitcher at A.C. Flora High School • Played three years for coach Andy Hallett • Teamed with UNC classmate Brett Thomas to lead Flora to the 3A state title in 2007 • Garnered all-state honors, as well as regional, area and state player of the year accolades as a senior • Finalist for Mr. Baseball honors • Named team MVP in 2007 • Also an all-state and all-region choice as a junior in 2006 • Won the King of the Hill Award as Flora's top pitcher in 2006 • Played summer ball with American Legion Post 6 and posted a 7-0 record in 2007.
