Ranked as one of the Tar Heels' clubhouse leaders • Saw action against Temple March 7 and Davidson March 28 • Had two at-bats on the season. Summer 2007: Played with the Spartanburg Stingers of the Coastal Plain League • Hit .171 over 13 games played • Three of his six hits were doubles • Added two runs and two RBI.
AS A FRESHMAN (2006)
Saw action in four games and went 1-for-2 with an RBI on the season • Recorded first career hit - a run-scoring single - against Davidson April 5 • Also scored a run against Towson March 21 • Was hit by a pitch in his first career trip to the plate against Seton Hall Feb. 19. Summer 2006: Hit .333 with Asheville of the Southern Collegiate Baseball League.
