As a sophomore in 2002, batted .326 with eight home runs and 42 RBI • Had 20 multi-hit games and hit safely in the Tribe's last 15 contests • Hit .388 as a freshman in 2001 to rank second on the team • Also hit four homers and drove in 20 runs as a rookie. Summer 2003: Named Coastal Plain League Offensive Player of the Year after batting .337 with seven home runs and 37 RBI for the Outer Banks Daredevils • Also led the league in slugging percentage at .566 and helped the Daredevils to the CPL Petitt Cup title.
