FRESHMAN (2009)
Made nine appearances after recovering from "Tommy John" surgery in March 2008 • Posted a 4.50 ERA, struck out six and walked nine in eight innings • Struck out two in a scoreless inning in first outing since surgery March 4 against Gardner-Webb • Followed with scoreless outings of at least one inning versus Appalachian State, Princeton and Virginia in March • Made lone start of the season April 1 against Old Dominion and allowed one run over 1 2/3 innings • Final appearance of the season came May 7 against Longwood. Summer 2009: Pitched in nine games for the Harwich Mariners of the Cape Cod League, allowing five runs over 8 2/3 innings • Struck out four and walked eight.
2008 SEASON
Redshirt season • Pitched in two games before undergoing season-ending "Tommy John" elbow surgery in March • Worked 4 2/3 shutout innings with seven strikeouts and four walks • Struck out the side in a scoreless inning of relief at Winthrop Feb. 28 • Went 3 2/3 and fanned four in first career start against St. John's March 2.
