Went 6-3 for the second consecutive season and posted a 4.32 ERA • Tossed 81.1 innings to rank second on the Tar Heel staff • Finished the season third on the team with 59 strikeouts and 14 starts • Opened the season 2-0 after allowing just one run in six innings to both Seton Hall (Feb. 23) and LeMoyne (March 4) • Won three straight starts (High Point, Maryland, Duke) from April 8-20 • Blanked Maryland on six hits for 8.2 innings to improve to 5-2 on April 13 • Picked up his fourth win of the season earlier that same week with five innings of three-hit work against High Point (April 8) • Limited Duke to just four hits over six innings on April 20 • Went six innings against Mississippi State on June 1 to help the Tar Heels win the NCAA Starkville Regional.
