Shalane Flanagan captured her third straight NCAA Southeast Regional Cross Country title this past Saturday, in Greenville, N.C. For her efforts, the Marblehead, Mass., native is the Carolina Waterscapes Student-Athlete of the Week.

Flanagan won the race in 19:17; her margin of victory was 29 seconds. She has won all four races she has competed in this year. Flanagan will try and capture her first NCAA Championship (4th in 2000, 19th in 2001) of the season Monday, November 25, in Terre Haute, Ind.
