Greensboro, N.C. - Brie Felnagle was recently named the ACC Cross Country Co-Performer of the Week for her efforts at the NCAA Pre-Nationals. The Tacoma, Wash. native ran the 6K course in 19:57 as she was one of three runners to break the course record. Felnagle is the second Tar Heel to win the honor in 2007 as Megan Kaltenbach was named the Performer of the Week on Sept. 18.

Felnagle will share the honor with Florida State's Susan Kuijken who ran in the blue race and finished just a second faster. Felnagle took second in the white race as she led the Tar Heels to a 12th place finish in the NCAA Pre-Nationals.

The Tar Heels are ranked fifth in the initial Southeast Regional Rankings and will have a week to prepare for the ACC Championships being held in Charlottesville, Va. on Saturday, Oct. 27.
