Cross Country Season Opener Cancelled

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The North Carolina cross country teams will have to wait a week to make their 2008 debuts as Tropical Storm Hanna has cancelled the Campbell Invitational scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 6. The Tar Heels were set to compete in Buies Creek, N.C. on Saturday morning but with the impending arrival of Tropical Storm Hanna to the Carolinas Campbell has cancelled the meet. The Tar Heels will now open the season next weekend when they host the UNC Challenge which is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13 at the Finley Fields.
