Tyler Harris Reaps ACC Men's Swimmer Of The Week Accolades

GREENSBORO, N.C. - North Carolina sophomore Tyler Harris has been selected the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week. Harris earned his third career performer of the week honor and second of this season.

Harris scored three individual first place finishes at the Gamecock Invitational as North Carolina took first place out of six teams. In the 200 individual medley, Harris finished in an NCAA consideration time of 1:46.54 and broke an 18-year old record by over three-quarters of a second. He touched the wall for first place in the 400 individual medley with an NCAA automatic qualification time of 3:44.00 to set a new career best and broke his own school record. Harris also clocked in for a win in the 200 breaststroke (1:58.33) and a fourth-place finish in the 200 butterfly (1:52.50). In the two distance relays, North Carolina finished fourth in the 400 medley relay and 2nd in the 800 free relay.
