Podcasting Swimming All-America Tyler Harris

Sept. 9, 2008

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.--Carolina's jack of all trades in the swimming pool, All-America Tyler Harris sat down with TarHeelBlue.com for the weekly podcast conveying news about what is going on in the Tar Heel swimming program. Harris is arguably UNC's most versatile men's swimmer, excelling in the IM, the butterfly, distance freestyle and the breaststroke.

Harris won the ACC championship in the 400 IM as a freshman in 2008, set one school short course and two school long course records this past year, was a Top 12 finisher at the 2008 Olympic Trials, made the ACC's All-Academic Team, garnered NCAA All-America honors and had a Top Five finish in the 5K National Open Water Swimming Championships.

Other than that, the sophomore from Richmond, Va., had a leisurely first year as Carolina. We hope you enjoy the podcast and check back next week as another UNC athlete is featured here.
