Esposto Tears Up Competition At Master's Nationals

MISSION VIEJO, CALIF. - University of North Carolina diving coach Nunzio Esposto just returned from United States Diving Master's Nationals in Mission Viejo, Calif. where he did a real number of the competition.

Esposto, originally from Butler, Pa., and a 1991 UNC graduate, has been the Tar Heels' full-time diving coach the past three years. He was an All-Atlantic Coast Conference diver and NCAA qualifier for Carolina as an undergraduate.

Esposto placed first on the onbe meter with a score of 508.70, first on the three meter with a score of 517.05, first on the platform with a score of 309.25, and first in synchronized diving with Todd Mulzet from Rose Bowl Aquatics with a score of 466.20.

Esposto competes in the 30-34 age group in individual competition and he and Mulzet were paired in the 35-39 synchronized age group.
