CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of North Carolina men's and women's swimming and diving program finished its recruiting for the 2003-04 school year Thursday as Head Coach Frank Comfort announced the addition of 11 more prospects for the UNC Class of 2008. These 11 join Ben Herboth and John Sands who signed national letters of intent last fall to join the Tar Heels in the fall of 2004.

Following is a complete list of the 11 new recruits and a brief list of their accomplishments.

Ben Asseff, Charleston, W.Va., George Washington High School, Huntington YMCA/Charleston Aquatic Team (Coach Greg Olson). Career Best Times: 4:32.40, 500-yd. freestyle, 9:21.55, 1000-yd. freestyle, 15:53.58, 1650-yd. freestyle, 4:02.82, 400-yd. individual medley.

Campbell Davis, Charlotte, N.C., East Mecklenburg High School, Mecklenburg Aquatic Club (Coach Dave Gibson). Career Best Times: 57.29, 100-yd. breaststroke, 2:06.68, 200-yd. breaststroke, 50.63, 100-yd. butterfly, 1:51.74, 200-yd. butterfly.

Eric Fehr, Matthews, N.C., East Mecklenburg High School, Mecklenburg Aquatic Club (Coach Dave Gibson). Career Best Times: 50.32, 100-yd. butterfly; 52.68, 100-yd. backstroke.

Ryan Funderburk, Summerfield, N.C., North Carolina Aquatic Club (Coach Kevin Lawrence). Runnerup at 2004 North Carolina High School Championships in one-meter diving. Member of the U.S. Junior National Trampoline Team. World Junior Trampoline Championships qualifier.

Keith Laabs, Memphis, Tenn., White Station High School, Memphis Tiger Swimming (Coach Dave Smith). Career Best Times: 50.25, 100-yd. backstroke; 1:49.91, 200-yd. backstroke.
