Seven Tar Heels Tapped For All-ACC Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Seven swimmers and divers from the University of North Carolina were named All-Atlantic Coast Conference during the 2004-05 school year. All but one of the All-ACC selections will return to Carolina to swim or dive during the 2005-06 academic year.

Freshman Kelsey Morrissy (Horsham, Pa.) in the 50-yard freestyle, junior gia Santoro (Stratford, Conn.) in one-meter diving, freshman Kelly Woodruff (Shoreline, Wash.) in the 400-yard individual medley, freshman Lindsey Marck (Newtown, Pa.) in the 100- and 200-yard butterflies, senior Virginia Hanson (Birmingham, Ala.) in the 200-yard freestyle and junior Lizzy Bruce (Wichita, Kan.) in the 100- and 200-yard breaststrokes earned All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors for the 2004-05 UNC women's team.

North Carolina junior Josh Glasco (Richmond, Va.) was named All-ACC on the men's team in the 200-yard butterfly. Glasco went on to earn honorable mention All-America honors this season in that event by finishing 14th in the 200-yard butterfly at the 2005 NCAA Championships.
