Glasco Merits NCAA Invitation

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. - University of North Carolina junior butterflier (Richmond, Va.) will represent the Tar Heel men's swimming and diving program in the 2005 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at he University of Minnesota Aquatics Center in Minneapolis, Minn., March 24-26.

Glasco, a 2005 All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection and runnerup in the 200-yard butterfly at the 2005 Atlantic Coast Conference Championships, has qualifired to swim in two events at the meet. Glasco goes into the meet as the No. 9 seed in the 200-yard butterfly where he carries a career best and season best time of 1:44.60.

Glasco has also qualified to swim the 100-yard butterfly where he is the 44th seed with a time of 48.42 seconds.

Glasco also qualified for the 2004 NCAA Championships and he earned honorable mention All-America honors last season when he finished 16th in the 200-meter butterfly. Last year's NCAA meet was swum in short course meters rather than the usual format of short course yards.
