Twenty-four Tar Heels honored.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.- Twenty-four members of the 1998-99 University of North Carolina's men's and women's swimming and diving teams were named to the University's Dean's List during the fall semester of 1998, it was disclosed on Tuesday.

Twelve members of the UNC men's team and 12 members of the Carolina women's team were honored for their academic prowess by the University during the semester which ended in December 1998.

Requirements for the Dean's List include a student taking 12 to 14 graded academic hours while maintaining a 3.5 grade point average or higher with no grades below C or a student taking 15 or more graded academic hours while attaining a 3.2 GPA or higher with no grades lower than a C.

The list was led by senior Catherine Frock and freshman Sarah Givan, who both compiled perfect 4.0 grade point averages during the fall semester.
