Results

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The North Carolina swimming and diving teams swept Duke Tuesday afternoon in dual meets at Koury Natatorium. The No. 15 Tar Heel women won by a 173-116 while the No. 24 UNC men won 195-96.

Each meet was worth one point in the 2003-04 Carlyle Cup competition, an all-sports trophy pitting North Carolina against Duke in 25 sports. UNC now leads this year's Carlyle Cup by 7-1.

Jessi Perruquet led the UNC women to victory by winning two individual events and swimming on two victorious relays. Leila Marin had two individual triumphs and one relay win as well.

The Carolina men were led by Jon Albrecht with one individual win and two relay wins while Tristan Davidson won two individual events.

The women won 11 of 14 individual events and both relays. The men won 12 individual events and both relays.

Carolina returns to action on November 20-22 to host the Nike Cup at Koury Natatorium.
