EAST MEADOW, N.Y. - North Carolina sophomore Josh Glasco qualified for the consolation final of the 200-meter butterfly Saturday afternoon at the 2004 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at the Goodwill Games Aquatics Center in East Meadow's historic Eisenhower Park.

A Richmond, Va., native, Glasco will earn honorable mention All-America honors and will swim in the consolation final tonight beginning at 7 p.m. Glasco earned the last spot in the consolation final as he placed 16th in the preliminaries with a time of 1:57.55.

Senior Eric Poitras competed this afternoon in platform diving as well.

In the evening session, Tar Heels Yuri Suguiyama and Reid Owen are both swimming in the 1500-meter freestyle.
