Glasco Clocks Career Best In 100-Yard Butterfly

March 25, 2005

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. - Junior Josh Glasco (Richmond, Va.) recorded his career best time Friday in the 100-yard butterfly while competing in the preliminaries at the 2005 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming & Diving Championships at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.

Glasco clocked a time of 48.11 in the event and he finished 32nd. He eclipsed his previous career best time of 48.42 seconds set earlier this year at the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships.

Glasco will compete Saturday in the 200-yard butterfly where he holds the Tar Heel school record at 1:44.60 established earlier this season at the 2004 Nike Cup Championships in Chapel Hill. Glasco earned honorable mention All-America honors last year in the 200 fly with a 16th place finish. He is the No. 9 seed in this year's meet in the event.
