AUBURN, ALA. - Ryan Funderburk, Erika Matheis and Laura Filip of the University of North Carolina diving teams were all finalists on the opening day of the 2008 NCAA Division I Zone B Diving Championships at Auburn University. Funderburk finished seventh in three-meter diving while Matheis was 10th and Filip 15th in one-meter competition.

Here are the complete results for each individual on the first of the three days of competition. Both platform events and men's one-meter and women's three-meter follow the next two days.

Three-Meter Men's Diving (41 entries)

Ryan Funderburk, UNC, 7th overall, 696.15 points; 358.20 prelims (6th), 337.95 finals

David Solarz, UNC, 23rd overall, 289.95 prelims

One-Meter Women's Diving (46 entries)

Erika Matheis, UNC, 10th overall, 507.65 points; 252.70 prelims (9th), 254.95 finals

Laura Filip, UNC, 15th overall, 489.30 points; 244.65 prelims (14th), 244.65 finals

Erica Schiffler, UNC, 27th overall, 220.00 points

Mandi Arak, UNC, 34th overall, 208.80 points
