ATHENS, GA. - The North Carolina men's and women's diving team continued competition in the 2004 NCAA Zone B Diving Championships being held at the University of Georgia's Gabrielson Natatorium. The Tar Heel performance was highlighted by senior Eric Poitras who reached finals of one-meter diving, finishing 16th with a score of 578.50.

In women's three-meter diving, senior Lindsay Waddell was the top finisher in 28th with a score of 253.85. Other Tar Heels in the field were Kirsten Ytterbo who was 30th with 242.45, Lauren Karatanevski who was 31st with 242.20 and Gia Santoto who placed 33rd with 238.25.

On the men's side, freshman Jon Fox was 32nd with 233.15 while Ryan Matuszak was 24th with 232.70 points.
