North Carolina In 28th Place At NCAA Meet

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. - North Carolina stands in 28th place with two points at the end of the first day of the 2007 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming & Diving Championships at the University of Minnesota. Whitney Sprague earned honorable mention All-America honors in the 500-yard freestyle for the second straight year with a 15th place finish. Sprague finished 15th in a time of 4:44.68. She had qualified 11th in the event with a time of 4:43.94. Sprague came into the meet seeded in the event at 4:45.35.
