Career Best Times: 4:19.38 in 500-yard freestyle (3rd in school history, 10th in ACC history); 9:02.38 in 1000-yard freestyle (School Record, 4th in ACC history); 14:55.53 in 1650-yard freestyle (School Record, 5th in ACC history): 3:57.45 in the 400-yard individual medley.
General: Came in as a top recruit his freshman season in 2006-07 and did not disappoint with his first-year efforts...the top swimmer for Carolina in the distance freestyle events ...set school records in the 1000 and 1650 freestyles as a freshman and his times in the 500, 1000 and 1650 all put him in the all-time ACC Top 10 in those events...will likely redshirt this year as he trains for a spot in the 10-kilometer open water swim at the 2008 Olympic Games in China...currently ranks as one of the world's premier open water swimmers, making multiple U.S. international teams.
