General: Two-time letter winner who continues to be one of Carolina's top distance freestylers and 400 IMers after qualifying for the 2007 NCAA Championships last spring.
2006-07: Swam a 9:56.73 last year in the 1000 free, ranking ninth in school history...competed in two events at NCAA Championships -- the 500 and 1650 freestyles...2007 All-ACC honoree....finished 11th in the 400-yard IM competition at the ACC Championships...was the 11th-place finisher in the 500 free with an NCAA B consideration time of 4:52.72...took second as part of a 1-2-3 sweep by Carolina in the 1650-yard freestyle with a career best of 16:27.37 (seventh in school history) and an NCAA B consideration time...honored as an All-ACC Performer in the 1650-yard free...tapped for 2006-07 ACC Academic Honor Roll...qualified for Dean's List in fall semester 2006.
2005-06: Was a major reason for the pronounced success of the women's distance freestyle corps...at ACC's, she was the third in a trio of Tar Heel freshman to finish in the top five of the 1650-yard freestyle, taking fifth...was a consolation finalist with a 13th place finish in the 500-yard freestyle...also finished 13th in the 400-yard individual medley...took ninth in the 1650 at Nike Cup.
Prep: Graduated from Brentwood High School in May 2005...four-year letter winner in swimming and cross country...2004-05 swim team captain...two-time Scholastic All-America...2004 Olympic Trials qualifier in the 200-meter butterfly and the 400- and 800-meter freestyles...team captain her senior year...swam on a state championship squad in 2003...captured state championship in the 200 fly...three-time All-District cross country runner...ran on cross country state championship unit in 2003 and 2004...received Principal's Award...member of National Honor Roll and National Honor Society.
